On behalf of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), we would like to express our sincere appreciation and congratulations to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for the successful organization of the recent Exposition Fair and Open House held in Abuja.at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
Having visited the exhibitions on the 13th of March 2024, we were deeply impressed by the variety and quality of initiatives and projects showcased. The dedication to enhancing food security, improving productivity, and creating market linkages was evident throughout the event. It was also heartening to see the focus on resilience to climate change, and the inclusive approach towards women, youth, and the handicapped.
The opportunities provided to our youths by the FGN/IFAD projects are commendable. These initiatives not only offer practical solutions and innovations in agriculture but also inspire a new generation to engage in agribusiness with a sense of creativity and purpose.
The partnerships and potential synergies that were highlighted at the fair are a testament to the collaborative spirit that is essential for the sustainable development of our nation’s agricultural sector. NACCIMA is keen on building upon the dialogue initiated at the event and exploring cooperative ventures that can further these goals.
We would also like to acknowledge the farmers from the 15 States covered by the FGN/IFAD Cooperation programme. Their participation and willingness to share their experiences and insights were invaluable. The booths provided a wonderful platform for exchange and highlighted the real-world impact of the projects on their lives and communities.
