The German-Nigerian Business Day was held today, Monday 11th May 2026 at the EKO Hotel Skyline Terrace, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was graced by Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Honourable Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, who attended as the Special Guest of Honour
Ambassador Janet Olisa with Dr. Praise Abina, and Mr. Rotimi Obagbemi represented NACCIMA at the event.
The German-Nigeria Business Day was hosted by Mr. Daniel Krull, German Consul General in Lagos, alongside Mr. Roosevelt Ogbonna, Managing Director & CEO of Access Bank PLC, Mr. Ikenna Mbaekwe, Director, DEG Regional Office West-Africa, and Mr. Fabian Bracher, Head of German Desk at Access Bank Plc
The event provided an important platform for strengthening bilateral business relations, fostering networking opportunities, and promoting collaboration between Nigerian and German business communities in areas of trade, investment, and economic development. It also created an avenue for key stakeholders to exchange insights on improving private sector participation and enhancing sustainable economic partnerships between both countries. Discussions during the event highlighted opportunities for increased investment cooperation, enterprise support, and capacity development initiatives aimed at deepening commercial ties and promoting inclusive economic growth.
