NACCIMA Meets the World in Giessen (Day One) – What a Start!
Yesterday marked the official kick-off of The World Meets in Giessen, and what an exciting start it was!
The welcome reception was hosted by Dr. Matthias Leder at the IHK Giessen-Friedberg, bringing together changemakers and professionals from across Asia, Africa, Latin America, Germany, and Europe — all in one room to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas.
The National President of NACCIMA & Chairman of the Organized Private Sector of Nigeria (OPSN) Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq., spoke about Nigeria as the future powerhouse of Africa. He highlighted why Nigeria stands out: from its booming startup scene and creative industry to major investment projects and the strength of our diaspora. His message was clear: if you’re looking at Africa, you can’t afford to ignore Nigeria.
Before the reception, we had the pleasure of a meet-and-greet with Hon. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, where delegates had a chance to share ideas and experiences in a more relaxed setting.
We ended the day with a beautiful dinner at the VILCO Congress Center in Bad Vilbel — great food, great conversations, and new connections made.
The world meets in Giessen, and Nigeria is well represented.
