As part of the week-long engagement between NACCIMA and the visiting Ethiopian Business Delegation, a factory visit was held on 27th June, 2025. This visit served as the concluding activity of the bilateral trade facilitation initiative spearheaded by Engineer Awwal Bununu, aimed at fostering closer economic cooperation and business linkages between Nigeria and Ethiopian Chambers of Commerce
The delegation visited the following institutions:
1. Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Abuja
The Ethiopian delegates were introduced to Nigeria’s resource potential and the ongoing efforts in value addition, innovation, and commercialization of raw materials for industrial development.
2. Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, ACCI, Abuja
At the BEST Centre, the visitors were shown capacity-building models, enterprise development infrastructure, and training facilities. This presented an opportunity to explore areas of collaboration in skills transfer, SME support, and industrial training.
The visits provided practical insights into Nigeria’s innovation and industrial development landscape and opened discussions on potential partnerships, trade expansion, and investment opportunities across various sectors.
The engagements throughout this mission have strengthened bilateral relations and created promising pathways for future collaborations between the private sectors of both nations.
