As part of the pre-conference activities for the 65th Annual General Meeting/Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), delegates visited Tascon Plastic Industries Limited, a leading manufacturing company in Ilorin, Kwara State.
During the facility tour, the delegates were shown the company’s diverse production lines, including the manufacturing of water tanks, biogas tanks, plastic pipes, and other essential plastic products used in various sectors across Nigeria.
When asked by the delegates on the company’s challenges, the management of Tascon Plastics highlighted a major challenge confronting their operations: the high cost of electricity supply, which significantly affects production efficiency and overhead costs.
In response to this, the company also shared its strategic plans to explore alternative energy solutions, including renewable sources, to reduce reliance on the national grid and stabilize its production operations. Their interest in biogas technologies, also evident in their biogas tank product line, signals a shift towards sustainable and cost-effective energy practices.
This visit not only emphasized the resilience and innovation of Nigerian manufacturers but also reinforced NACCIMA’s mission to advocate for better infrastructure and enabling policies to support private sector growth.
