NACCIMA and BtoB Events Ltd Announce the 4th Edition of the West Africa Automotive Show in Lagos – A Driving Force for Billion-Dollar Opportunities

Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), in collaboration with BtoB Events Ltd from the United Kingdom, is thrilled to announce the hosting of the 4th edition of the West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS). This prestigious event is set to unfold at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, from May 14-16, 2024, marking an unparalleled convergence of innovation, expertise, and economic advancement for the automotive industry in Nigeria and across West Africa.

National Pride and Global Partnerships

The WAAS is the region’s premier automotive trade show, with this year’s edition bringing together over 150 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, including national pavilions from economic powerhouses such as China, India, and Poland. The Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) will notably participate with 30 companies, showcasing a commitment to fostering major collaborations and investments in West Africa’s automotive manufacturing sector.

Celebrating Nigeria’s entrepreneurial spirit, local brands such as Saglev Motors, CFAO, Cochairs, and C Woermann will be featured prominently. The show will also see partnerships with key Nigerian associations, including NACCIMA, NATA, MOMTAN, NAMA, ASPMDA, NADDC, and others, as well as regional partners such as the Chamber of Commerce of Gambia, Abossey Okai Ghana, and Magazine market Kumasi, solidifying the vision of a unified West African automotive market.

An Economic Powerhouse for the Region

With the arrival of over 500 international guests and robust company representation, WAAS is poised to channel millions into the local economy. The event is not just a trade platform but a transformative force, with expectations to facilitate over 1 billion USD in business transactions and over 3 billion USD in foreign direct investments, enriching Nigeria with an estimated 75 percent of these investments.

A Premier Conference for Regional Advancement

In tandem with the exhibition, a high-caliber conference chaired by Luqman Mamudu, former Director of Planning and Strategy at NADDC, will engage distinguished speakers from institutions such as NADDC, AFREXIM Bank, SON, CFAO, PAN Nigeria, and the Automotive Council of Ghana. Key discussions will aim to drive the manufacturing of automotive spare parts and components in Nigeria and West Africa, laying the groundwork for sustainable industrial growth.

An Open Invitation to Shape the Future

NACCIMA warmly invites government officials, industry experts, and members of the Nigerian and West African community to be a part of this historic event.
