The Benin–Nigeria Business Forum 2026 was successfully held today at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos. The Forum brought together key public and private sector stakeholders from both countries with the objective of exploring business and investment opportunities, strengthening bilateral trade relations, and promoting regional economic integration. The Forum also was aimed to encourage entrepreneurs and business leaders from Beninese diaspora in Nigeria to invest in Benin.

The National President of NACCIMA, Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, was represented at the Forum by Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale Cole, MFR, CON. In delivering his remarks on behalf of the President, he assured the organizers and participants that Nigeria, as well as Chambers of Commerce across the country, remain open and fully prepared to welcome investors from the Republic of Benin.

He stated that NACCIMA remains committed to investment promotion, ecosystem linkages, and connecting investors with bankable projects across key sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and agro-industrial value chains. He further encouraged the organizers to ensure that the two-day Forum produces tangible outcomes, including meaningful transactions, partnerships, and sustained interactions between businesses in Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.

He emphasized the importance of effective follow-up on decisions reached at the Forum, noting that the impact of the engagements should be evident within a few months through concrete business outcomes.

The Forum featured several keynote presentations, interactive question-and-answer sessions. The event was rounded off with B2B meetings and networking engagements among relevant investors and stakeholders. NACCIMA’s participation at the Forum reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable bilateral business relations between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
