The ECOWAS Commission hosted the 2025 ECOWAS Trade and Investment Forum and Exhibition (ECOTIFE 2025) in conjunction with the Lagos International Trade Fair.
This flagship event, was held on Saturday 8th November 2025 as part of the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee celebrations, aimed to promote trade, attract investment, and deepen economic integration across West Africa.
The forum brought together key stakeholders, policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and regional institutions to explore innovative strategies for advancing intra-regional trade and investment. The event featured plenary sessions, thematic panels, and exhibitions, providing a platform for meaningful discussions and networking.
The representative of the National President of NACCIMA, Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole, CON (2nd Deputy President, NACCIMA ) spoke on the theme: “Public-Private Partnership: Strategies for Strengthening Collaboration between Public and Private Sectors.” He identified critical issues to address in actualizing effective cooperation between the two sectors, highlighting the importance of synergy and collaboration in driving economic growth and development in Nigeria and West Africa at large.
