The 5th ODUA’CCIMA International Trade Fair opened ceremony Themed: *Harnessing Food Security Systems and Natural Resources for Sustainable Development and Wealth Creation* took place in Ibadan today.

In his welcome address, President of ODUACCIMA, Chief Wole Akinwande, welcomed guests and exhibitors to the Trade Fair after over 10 years of break. He appreciated the Oyo State Government and other South West Governors for their support and commitment to the Fair.

Declaring the Fair open, representative of the Governor of Oyo State Engr.Seyi Makinde, mni Honourable Adeniyi Olabode Adebisi, Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Cooperative and Investment appreciated ODUA’CCIMA and the Trade Fair Committee for organising the Agricultural themed Fair at this critical period.

Other dignitaries at the event were Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11 who was represented by Oba Adedire Ademola Solomon; the Lagos Chamber of Commerce President, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa; representative of the Bank of Industry (BoI) Mr. Michael Oke; representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA);
Dr. Kakulu Florence represented the Hon. Minister of Agric & Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kiyari among other Chamber Presidents NACCIMA National officers, members, participants and exhibitors present.

Key Highlights:

1 The theme of the Fair was deliberately focused towards Agriculture in view of present circumstances.

2 Exhibitors were advised to make use of the potentials of AfCFTA in generating much needed foreign exchange for the country in the area of non-oil exports.

3 Technology should be optimally adopted to fully optimise the gains available across the Agric value chain.
