NACCIMA VISIT TO ALAKE & PARAMOUNT RULER OF EGBALAND, OBA ADEDOTUN AREMU GBADEBO III, CFR

As part of its culture to visit traditional institutions at cities wherever Council Meetings are held, a NACCIMA delegation led by Dele Kelvin Oye Esq, National President paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland.

In his remarks, Hon. Oye expressed profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty for graciously receiving the NACCIMA delegation despite his demanding schedule. The National President provided a brief overview of NACCIMA, highlighting its role as the umbrella body for the organized private sector in Nigeria, with a mandate to promote business growth, investment, and industrial development.

Hon. Oye further explained that the purpose of the visit was to pay homage to the monarch, seek his support and royal blessings, and reaffirm the association’s commitment to fostering economic development within Ogun State and Nigeria at large. He noted that the visit preceded NACCIMA’s quarterly Executive Committee and Council meetings, scheduled to take place in Abeokuta from Wednesday, 12th February to Thursday, 13th February 2025.

In his response, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III warmly welcomed the NACCIMA delegation to his kingdom and acknowledged the association’s crucial role in national economic development. He emphasized that Nigeria’s indigenous products are among the most competitive in Africa, underscoring the importance of supporting and promoting locally made goods. The monarch also reiterated his commitment to fostering collaboration between the traditional institution and the private sector to drive economic growth and industrialization.

The visit underscored the significance of synergy between traditional leadership and economic stakeholders in advancing national development. It also reinforced NACCIMA’s commitment to working with key stakeholders to create a more enabling business environment for sustainable growth.
