2024 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF COOPERATIVES CELEBRATION BY THE OGUN STATE COOPERATIVE FEDERATION LIMITED (OGCOFED) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OGUNCCIMA
The Ogun State Cooperative Federation Limited under the leadership of its President, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye, celebrated the 2024 International Cooperatives Day today at the Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta in partnership with Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA).
The event was well attended with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, FNSE. Also present were the Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Ademola Balogun, his Permanent Secretary, Alhaji FOK Ogunlana as well as other Commissioners and Permanent Secretares from other Ministries in Ogun State. The Chamber movement team was led by the OGUNCCIMA President, Lion Rafiu Olugbemiyi Oshiyemi and the leadership of the 5 component Chambers of Commerce in Ogun State. The National President of NACCIMA, Dele Kelvin Oye Esq was represented by the Director-General, Sola Obadimu.
The German KVP Chamber Mentoring Project Team was led by Dr Matthias Leder, CEO of IHK Gießen-Friedberg Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by Dr. Kirsten Albrecht, Nele Lahrmann-Muniru, Sherif Olaleye and Victor Adegoke, etc. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, former Minister of the Federal Republic was a Special Guest of Honour.
The event served as a key reminder of the essential role Cooperative Societies play in advancing inclusive and sustainable development, both globally and in Nigeria with the theme: “Cooperatives build a better future for all”.
